National Library Week at the Kewaunee Public Library "Unlimited possibilities @ your library."
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week (April 12-18) is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
To celebrate National Library Week, the Kewaunee Public Library will be giving away gift certificates to some local restaurants:... Amy’s Coffee House, Kunkel’s Korner, Lakeshore Pizza, LLC, Port O’Call, and Subway. Stop by the library any time before April 18 to enter the drawing for these restaurants and other gift bags.
Also, the Kewaunee Public Library will host a special “Preschool Bed Time Story Time” on Tuesday, April 14 at 6 pm. Children can come in their pajamas and bring a stuffed animal.
A “Minute to Win It” Party will be held Friday, April 24 from 1-2 pm after the early school release. This is for older youth (ages approximately 6-12 years). There will be games, such as: “Face the Cookie”, “Stack Attack”, and “Junk in the Trunk”. Treats will be provided. All are welcome, no RSVP needed.
